David Sowels

David Sowels is the founder and Managing Member of the General Partner and is primarily responsible for the management of the Partnership’s portfolio.

David is a 40 plus year veteran of the California real estate marketplace, having personally sold over $100,000,000 in commercial and residential real estate since first becoming a licensed real estate broker in California in 1970. Prior to founding the General Partner, David is a Principal and founder of Cogent Bay Realty Inc. (REIT), Cogent Bay Fund I, LLC (UP-REIT), and 3N Realty Advisors, a real estate brokerage firm. All entities are located in Fairfield, California.

With real estate experience in the states of Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and California, David has completed development of over $30,000,000 in custom and estate homes, and has also completed commercial developments of over $270,000,000, including an AC Transit headquarters building in Oakland, California. On an individual basis, David is currently the manager of five (5) existing limited liability companies, which own active real estate development projects in various stages. David is currently licensed as a real estate broker in California and maintains the GRI designation.

David has served on the Oakland Economic Development Committee, and is a past Director of the Oakland Board of Realtors.
